FediCamp 2026 takes place from August 4th to 9th, 2026.
This year’s motto is “run: sudo chill”
After years of chaos, entropy and endless feeds, it’s time for a simple command: run: sudo chill. Just grab the necessary privileges and consciously step out of the constant noise – that’s the idea behind it.
FediCamp 2026 isn’t about perfect technology or finding the one right platform. It’s about what really matters: exchange instead of algorithms, community instead of endless scrolling, real conversations instead of content consumption. We meet in the forest, share experiences, build together, learn from each other – and most importantly: we chill with people who think like us.
The Fediverse, decentralization, Open Source and the small tools that make us more independent – these are our tools. But what’s really at the center is something much more important: friendship, exchange and our shared desire to shape the digital world with more self-determination.
Run: sudo chill! means for us: come by, play with tech, enjoy the time, learn from each other – and let’s show together that there’s a different way.
